Part of the Ski Museum's collections can be found on Digitalt Museum, which is a shared digital platform and database for cultural history collections in Norway and Sweden. Here you will find objects and information found in the museum's exhibitions, but also objects that are currently in storage.
Digital museum is open 24 hours a day
The Ski Museum's object collection consists of skis from the Middle Ages to the present day, with the main emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries. The oldest ski in the exhibition is from the Stone Age. It belongs to the Science Museum in Trondheim. Equipment and skis from the Norwegian polar expeditions are an important part of the museum's collection. The same is true of the Norwegian royal family's ski equipment.
